4.4.11. 19.
Today was a monday if there ever was a monday. I missed a return time for the camera i checked out, i missed a deadline for a class, i overslept one of my naps, and i generally felt overwhelmed by the week before it had even begun. It's days like these that i know God is there because despite all the problems, this world has never stopped spinning. It keeps going, ever forward, ever onward. We are not responsible for the progression of days, it is not dependent on the quality of our day. I understand this may clash with the saying "There is no promise of tomorrow" which is why i will always tell anybody to never let a day end without doing SOMETHING worthwhile. Make your day awesome, go looking for God, search for hope. Any day can be the best day of your life, even Mondays.
April 3rd, SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY.
I went to church this day. Church is a big part of my life as i've written earlier. Yet today was special, because after church my family and Starlyn's got together FULLY (well, mostly full. It was her entire family with most of mine, which was a first). We had a wonderful lunch under the hot sun, enjoying pastas and conversation and watching my niece Auden be adorable. After meal time we went down to the property lake and did some fishing to work off the food. At some point i ended up in a boat paddling Starlyn around, so you can bit she was feeling purrrty special that afternoon. Paddling around the lake is a 25 minute adventure, so it was basically an impromptu date on the lake.
That night, i spent time with my friends at Freshman bible study, which is a great place to talk about God, life, the bible, and anything else we can think about. I don't like missing this even whenever i do. It isn't often, but i immediately know something is missing when i go to bed that night.

April 2nd, True quitters never win!
Saturdays are the best days... sometimes. Other times they are full of surprises and EXTREMELY lax schedules, at least in my case. I can't remember the last time a saturday ever turned out the way i woke up thinking it would. Allow me to summarize this saturday:
I woke up at 8:00 a.m. to meet my parents and grandparents at Chappy's for breakfast. I'm not even going to try and make it seem like i'm an early bird; i aspire to wake up early but more often than not i never get around to sleeping until 1 or 2. Not a good combination when the following day promises busyness.
After breakfast, i killed time by going to the Guitar Shoppe next to Chappy's and checking out some new drum kits they had. If i had money, i would have bought one but instead i settled for playing around on them while talking to my buddy Tim Spicer. At 10, i met Starlyn (my fiance for those of you unfamiliar with her name) at the jewelry store where we found and bought our wedding bands. If i haven't said before, Starlyn is the BEST person to shop with. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't, so it doesn't make it hard to find something to buy. Our money is important to us, so it isn't a commodity easily spent. After this we parted ways until later that evening.
I went to help my grandfather build ramps for his house. After years (and i do mean YEARS) of hard labor, his body has finally retired. This has been hard for everyone to adjust to. He was always very active and still WANTS to be, so you can imagine the transition has been difficult. On the bright side, i have had a lot of opportunities to learn things working with him that no other person could teach me. He's got experience that's hard to come by these days, so it's nice to get time with him whenever i can.
Due to the combined efforts of both us, we managed to make a 2.5 hour job into a 5.5 hour job. I won't go into details, but we managed to make all the little mistakes that make your job that much longer. Life lessons, and a lot of mistakes i won't ever make twice.
At 6:45 i picked Starlyn up from her house to celebrate our 2nd anniversary of being in a relationship together. This was one of the highlights of the DAY. We pride ourselves in usually matching or having some common theme between us whenever we hang out (purely by accident), but this time we missed the boat. She dressed in my usual colours: Red and black, in a dress that was beautiful. I dressed in her usual temper, looking an explosion of spring with orange pants, blue shirt, orange/blue tie, and white suspenders. It was a bit of a clash, but i'm not one to complain. The food was great at Zazu's, the conversation was great that night as we talked about a lot of things ranging from daily events to wedding plans to spiritual thoughts. The perfect anniversary in my books.
