So, the long and the short.
Welcome to real life! This monday marked the first day of what will be my foreseeable future. Work from 9-5, drumming, work some more, more drumming, and weekend security at my home church. I do a lot of stuff because i like helping people. I enjoy being there to do things that other people may not want to do. The problem with this is that i am a cripple when it comes to saying no, and as a result i realise most afternoons that i have ZERO time to do anything for myself. I am thankful for this fact sometimes because it lets me step into the shoes of millions, if not billions, of people who have gone through history before me. For whatever time i am at work, i am among a host of human beings who do what must be done to live and breathe in this earth. I do consider myself to have somewhat of an advantage as a follower of Jesus because i have this thing called Joy that resides in every fiber of my being. You see, my day is not dictated by circumstance or weather; i am generally in a good mood, if not in a REALLY good mood. I know if i die i get to have the best eternity ever with some pretty cool people, and i know that if i live than i get to experience a ton of cool stuff right now as well. This makes any job easy, all things considered.
I promise i will keep up with this thing, update you all on what i did with my summer, some memories there, and even share some stories. Keep in touch, keep stopping by. Something cool may happen. For now, i'm headed to bed to get some much needed rest. God bless you all and i will see you starside.
zak.
